On Monday, together with our partner NeurologIQ we met Hendrik Wüst, Minister President of North Rhine-Westphalia, as part of his tour of South Westphalia. The focus of the visit at the "Summit" in Siegen (NeurologIQs head quarter) was our close cooperation in the field of AI-based process control for the steel industry – an example of how digitalisation and industrial experience can come together to enable real innovation.
Since 2023, we have been working with NeurologIQ on solutions that go far beyond traditional approaches. In our project EMG iCASS® with thyssenkrupp Steel Europe, for example, we were able to demonstrate that the coating process in hot-dip galvanising plants can be controlled in real time using artificial intelligence – with at least the same quality but with completely new optimisation possibilities.
This partnership is a central component of our ‘digital first’ strategic orientation – EMG Automation GmbH and NeurologIQ make AI in production real.
